The second and third were just embarrassingGuys, really while in the 50s, 60s, 70s movies hollywoodian movies could become classics, the actual trend of blockbusters of putting action and eye candy before script and film making makes it that most successful movies would be deemed as just "good".However, if you want to look a what movies will be remembered in 50 years time, you should look at Indie film making. Think about it,Donnie Darko, American Beauty, the Virgin Suicides do come from the indie scene. Oh, and once in a while a European movie will come out and be so good that it'll have international success. "Russian Ark" is a candidate. It was filmed using a single 90-minute Steadicam sequence shot. Which means there were no extra takes. The film has mixed reviews now.
